0.0.2 - QoL update


The first QoL patch is out! Note that there’s no new content or unlocks in this one, but I’ve started working on the first content update which will contain a lot of cool stuff. Stay tuned!

0.0.2  - Release notes

  • New shortcuts:
    • Hold Shift to select buildings with the marquee tool
    • Hold X to remove buildings
    • Press R to switch between build modes: linear or rectangular (grid)
    • Hold Shift while building Launchers to skip the outlet
  • All active keyboard shortcuts are now displayed on-screen
  • Collectors rework:
    • New graphics indicate when a collector has gold in it
    • Collectors now block elements other than gold
  • Launchers:
    • The outlet of the launcher will now always be built on top, no matter which direction you build in
    • If you don’t want an outlet, you can hold Shift to skip it
    • You can now build a single launcher and aim it to build at different angles. In other words, you no longer need to build two diagonals when you really just want to build one
  • Added automatic hotbar assignment when acquiring new buildings or items
  • Fixed infinite water glitch
  • … but added many more underground lakes (unfortunately only applicable to new games)
  • Added some clarifying tips and hints
  • Improved Tech Tree UI
  • Sounds are now paused when the tab is unfocused
  • Fixed bug causing rockets to crash the game when aimed at the corner of the map
  • Changed the color of some terrain
  • Improved explanation for Collectors (still not great. I saw someone write a better one but can’t find it anywhere… ping me on Discord if you know which one I’m talking about!)
  • Second attempt at fixing the “stuck at Refining 1” bug. Let me know if it still happens!
  • Refactored authorization/permissions system to make it more modular
  • Fixed arrows pointing incorrectly when reversing conveyor belts
  • Hotfixes (already deployed):
    • You can no longer destroy terrain by moving or copying structures
    • You can no longer glitch yourself out of bounds by moving structures on top of yourself
    • Added Space as an alternative for Escape (for menu and closing windows), so you don’t accidentally exit fullscreen all the time
    • You can no longer build launchers horizontally
    • The marquee tool no longer allows empty selections
    • When releasing the mouse outside the window while building, it will no longer get stuck in an infinite build mode
    • When loading a save, it will no longer rebuild the sell box
    • The version is now displayed in the in-game menu
